New York, 24 July 2023 | BXS, the industry’s leading compliance reporting and analytics solutions provider, today announced the addition of Steven Bonanno as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bonanno will be responsible for the company’s daily operations as well as business development, strategic initiatives and assuring BXS clients receive the best possible service and solutions.

Steve brings almost 30 years’ experience working in the equities and electronic trading technology industry. He most recently has been focused on his advisory business, where he provided direction for organizational structure of Technology, Operations and Product Management for several large financial services firms. Prior to that, he was CIO at DASH where he managed ongoing initiatives to modernize infrastructure through implementing best practices for the Blaze Classic OMS environment, and ultimately through the acquisition of DASH by ION. Steve has also served as Global Head of Risk Operations at Bloomberg in the Tradebook agency brokerage business. While there he also served as the Global Head of Alliance Support, leading several key initiatives involving the transition of Tradebook from an executing agency broker model to that of a fintech provider. Before that, Steve was Chief Technology Officer at Direct Edge, where he was responsible for the trading operations and technology of the firm. During his tenure at Direct Edge, he successfully led the firm’s merger with ISE Stock Exchange and the launch of the EDGA and EDGX exchanges. He has also held senior technology positions at NASDAQ, BRUT ECN, MarketXT and Instinet.
